Hola,

Buscando he encontrado esto:

The engine has a maximum capacity of very little more than 1.2 liters TOTAL (as in after being built). Understand that it's a dry sump lube system, and that means that the oil supply is stored in one volume (built into the front of the crankcases in this case) and pumped into the lube system under pressure. As it drains by gravity back to the crankcase sump, it gets picked up by a faster pump and returned to the storage volume. Since the return pump is faster, it sucks the sump "dry" as it catches up. There does remain a certain oil level below which oil is not picked up, but it's very low.

Since this particular bike has you refill the oil by pouring it into the crankcase, it has to be pumped from there to the "tank" once operation begins. When too much oil is put into the system, it will be pumped to thew tank in a normal manner until there is no more room in the tank for the excess. After that, oil returned to the tank is forced out the top of the tank through the pressure balance line that runs from the tank section to the crankcase, and the crankcase oil level stays higher than it's supposed to.

If you ran the bike, and drained only the right side, then refilled it, it probably had almost double the normal oil amount in it. Another thing you have to remember is to pop the dipstick out when draining the left side (the "tank"). Otherwise, is drains very slowly. It would not come out the dipstick hole on one of these, because the oil level in the tank can't really be raised much beyond the high mark before it starts the forced back-transfer I described.

when you refill the bike, the oil is added to the sump. The dip stick is in the tank. No oil will be in the tank at all until after the engine is restarted and run for about two minutes time so that the return oil pump can move the oil back to the tank, and get to a normal operating condition in which the bulk of the oil is in the tank, and very little is left in the sump
